We are soliciting applications from:

A.  A Rabbi, Jewish scholar or community organizer
B.  An Imam, Muslim scholar or community organizer
C.  Pastor/Priest, Christian scholar, or community organizer
D.  A qualified candidate from a religion other than Judaism, Islam, or Christianity

All candidates should be formally recognized by clergy or authorities within their respective religious traditions.

Position Description:

We are seeking three co-founders of contrasting faiths to participate in defining and creating Faith House Manhattan both conceptually and functionally (i.e., the ideology of Faith House and its operation). Job responsibilities include strategic planning, capacity building, fundraising, design (content and form) of Faith House gatherings, functions, and ministries. The initial contract will be half-time for two years. At the end of two years, these may become full-time positions.

The qualities we are seeking in candidates are:

1. A thorough appreciation and commitment to furthering the mission of Faith House (www.faithhousemanhattan.org)
2. A faithful practice and commitment to his/her respective religion
3. An interest in learning about God and the sacred from other religious traditions
4. An understanding and valuing of diverse traditions within his/her own religion
5. Well-networked in his/her wider spiritual community
6. Perseverance and ability to adjust to change while constructively contributing
7. Proven leadership skills and teamwork ability
8. A set of skills to complement a team (teaching, speaking, writing, sacred music, arts, community organizing, poverty issues and community development, international peace activism, media, chaplaincy, counseling, leadership developments, administration, fundraising, networking)
