Patheos has partnered with Faith House and On Faith, an online feature from The Washington Post and Newsweek, to promote the contest, which runs through April 15. During that time, students can submit videos to the Patheos micro-site www.faithoncampus.patheos.com.
ABOUT THE CONTEST
Patheos invites you to submit a video entry about your faith. Videos must fall into one of these three categories:
- "Why I Am A _______ " (Christian, Jew, Muslim, Atheist, etc.)
- "How I Live My Faith On Campus"
- "Rituals & Practices Of My Faith."
The Grand Prize winner will receive a $2,500 prize while the finalist in each of the categories receives a $1,000 prize. There is also an audience favorite that is awarded to the video entry that gets the most votes from the public. In addition, the contest winners will be awarded a copy of Samir Selmanovic's book, It's Really All About God.
JUDGES
A panel of guest judges from the media and different faiths will select the Grand Prize Winner. Any person can vote for on their favorite entries to determine finalists. The 20 entries to receive the highest number of votes enter the final round.
